ABOUT US

The Villa Hermosa is run by Wendy Holt, an ex-Southern California resident who has made Costa Rica her permanent home.  "I absolutely love the town I live in.  The property is "off the beaten path" which allows everybody who stays here the serenity of the CR life but close enough to everything when you need it.  Every day I hear toucans, wild parrots, and so many other animals!  There are bird feeders, a large bird bath and now a frog pond on the property and everybody loves sitting on the patio or hammocks and watching all the wildlife come to us. There are many species of local birds that call the Villa Hermosa home and many have made nests and are raising their young here.  Some of the birds that live here are blue-gray tanagers, passerini's tanagers, clay colored robins (the national bird), 3 different species of  hummingbirds, bananquits, seed-eaters, flycatchers and more.  Every day is an amazing experience ...to live in this beautiful place!"
